Privacy Policy
What we collect when you make an image, what happens to your photos, who helps us run the service, and how to delete everything.
This policy explains what Petalpic collects when you use the site, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. Questions go to support@petalpic.com.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google or LINE, your name and profile picture there. There are no passwords: when you sign in by email we send a link and a code that work once and expire after 15 minutes, and we keep only a one-way hash of the code.
- Guest use. You can make images and buy credits without an account. We then set a cookie that identifies your browser, and keep the email address you enter at checkout.
- Photos you upload. The photos you add to make an image, and any text you type to describe it.
- Images you make. The generated images, the style, model, size and settings you chose, and the credits each one used.
- Purchases. What you bought, when, the amount and currency, and the payment status. Card details are entered on our payment provider's own form (such as Stripe); we never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data. Your IP address and the country it points to, browser type, pages visited, and error logs.
How we use it
- To make your images and show them to you.
- To keep your credit balance, process payments and refunds, and send account emails (such as sign-in links and codes).
- If the site has them turned on, to email you when your images are ready, or to remind you of a checkout you did not finish or a generation that ran out of credits (at most one reminder every few days); every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not stop receipts or account emails.
- To keep the service safe: your text and photos may be checked automatically before an image is made, and the finished image before it is shown, to block nudity and other content that is not allowed.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and repeated sign-ups, and to fix errors.
- To understand which pages and styles people use, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or images to train AI models.
Your photos and images
- Your photos are sent to the image model only to make the image you asked for.
- Your images are private and shown only in your account or, for guests, in the browser you used, unless you choose to share one.
- Sharing is your choice, image by image. A share link lets anyone who has the link see that image; showing it on the public gallery lets every visitor see it. Only the finished image and the style name are shown, never your photos, your description or your name. Stop sharing at any time and the link stops working; deleting the image or your account ends sharing too. Shared pages are not submitted to search engines and ask them not to index the page.
- Account holders: photos and images stay in your account until you delete your account or ask us to delete them. Deleting your account erases them from our storage. Removing a single image from your history hides it from your account and ends its sharing; to have that file erased from our storage, write to us.
- Guests: photos and images are deleted automatically 3 days after they are created. Download your images before then, or sign in with the same email you paid with to keep them in an account.
- Only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed to it. See the Terms of Service for what may not be uploaded.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the services that run the site for us, and only what each one needs, and with the people you choose to share an image with:
- Image generation: the AI providers that create the image from your photo and description. They receive the photo, the description and the settings for that image, and may run automatic safety checks on them.
- Hosting and storage: Cloudflare (website, database, file storage and email sending).
- Payments: our payment provider (such as Stripe), which processes your payment under its own privacy policy.
- Sign-in: Google, if you choose Continue with Google; LINE (LY Corporation), if you choose Continue with LINE.
- People you share with: anyone who opens a share link you created, or visits the public gallery while your image is on it, sees that image.
- Analytics: the site counts its own visits (the page and link you came from, your country, a random visitor ID; see the Cookie Policy). If this site also uses an analytics service, it receives page visits and device information. See the Cookie Policy.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect users and the service from fraud or abuse.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language, identify a guest's browser, and, where used, measure visits. Details are in the Cookie Policy. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; you will then be signed out, and a guest loses access to images made in that browser.
How long we keep data
- Account data, photos and images: until you delete your account (they are then erased from our storage) or ask us to delete them.
- Guest photos and images: 3 days after they are created.
- Orders and payment records: kept after an account is deleted, because tax and accounting rules require it.
- Visit statistics: 180 days. Records of which channel led to a purchase are kept with the order records. When you delete your account, these records no longer link to you.
- Server logs: for a limited period, normally no more than 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Delete an image or photo: write to support@petalpic.com with the date you made it, and we will erase it.
- Delete your account in your account settings. This removes your profile, sign-in data, image history and share links, and erases your stored photos and images, at once.
- Access, correct or export your data, or object to how we use it: email support@petalpic.com and we will answer within 30 days.
- If you live in the EU, the UK or another place with data protection laws, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required where you live) to use the service. Parents and guardians may upload photos of their own children, or of children whose parent or guardian has agreed; these photos are handled like any other photo and used only to make the image. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe such a child has used the service, or you want a photo or image of your child removed, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will also tell you by email or on the site before it applies.
