Cookie Policy

This page lists the cookies and similar browser storage Petalpic uses. How we handle personal data in general is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Cookies the site needs

These keep the site working. They are not used for advertising, and the site does not work properly without them.

• Sign-in: keeps you signed in to your account and protects forms against forgery.
• Guest session (guest_session): identifies your browser when you make images or buy credits without an account, so you can see your images and use the credits you bought. It lasts as long as your guest work is kept.
• Language (PARAGLIDE_LOCALE): remembers the language you chose.
• Sidebar (sidebar_state): remembers whether you opened or closed the side menu.

When you pay, the checkout form is run by our payment provider (such as Stripe), which sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud.

Visit statistics

The site counts its own visits so we can see which pages and links bring people in. These cookies hold a random ID and where your first visit came from, never your name or email, and are not used for advertising or shared with advertisers.

• First visit (first_touch): the page you first landed on and the link or campaign that brought you there. Lasts 90 days.
• Visitor ID (sv_vid): a random ID so the same browser is counted once. Lasts 13 months.
• Visit day (sv_day): stops a second visit on the same day from being counted again. Lasts until the end of the day (UTC).

Analytics and support chat

If this site also uses an analytics service or a support chat, it may set its own cookies to count visits, see how pages are used, or keep a chat conversation. These do not identify you by name, and we do not use them for advertising.

Removing cookies

You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, or block them for this site. If you do, you will be signed out, and as a guest you will lose access to images made in that browser.
